ISSUE 3: WINTER 2016 / POETRY

“Mysterious Creativity” by Ben Nardolilli

BY BEN NARDOLILLI

A loud crash! Attempted suicide to redemption!
all the unforgettable moments and unforgettable testimonies,
often from outside the United States

While working at a strip club in Times Square in 1972
she connected the radical writing practices of New York City,
urging for nothing short of total cultural transformation

As part of an effort to map her “total present consciousness,”
she traveled between Moscow to Tashkent
becoming one who befriends, photographs, and translates

Through the publication of these varied texts across the ocean,
she opened up a revolutionary manifesto
about her successes and shortcomings in Nashville

Ben Nardolilli currently lives in New York City. His work has appeared in Quail Bell Magazine, Elimae, fwriction, Pear Noir, The Minetta Review, and Yes Poetry.
