ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP / ISSUE 5: Poets In Unity - Responses to the Election of Donald Trump / POETRY / SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS

“November 8, 2016: Amerikkkans got just what they deserved.” by Henry 7.reneau, jr.

Surprise is never barren nurtured to ash but busy with purpose fathomless medium of spontaneous startle or epiphany an intervention of vertigo-ed equilibrium ever so unexpected from one moment to the next

Surprise is a perfect abstract of thought that has a glamour of receiving itself listening to your first thought or ignore at your own peril or oscillate like the blind emotional vote through rotten fruit: Cabbage-Patch Hillary or Bozo the Clown with a dog whistle the deluge of guest expert facts with no spellcheck & opinions & beliefs & you twisted around a time-clock a part of you all suffering
a part of you all need
a part of you praying for a miracle in hell
coming off your cruelest acts of evil reflected back at you

Unspeakable now part of your story a nuclear bomb not dismantled a black man murdered
for expired license plate tags      no offense but how?
did you get so
while I was away

Surprise is never barren nurtured to ash but separation from identity desperately trying to be something that you are not the acquiescence to repetition by rote gyrating in the maelstrom eye of status quo
your molecules hurricane vibrating the air
a gestural motion extending a hand tentatively into the mist of the unknown
as Gaia shifts in her ooze
her gestation of pliant comeuppance a precise but quantum incoherence in future continuous tense
a mastery of survival
the damnation of the dreaming masses down the dark mountain
