“That Catholic Gamble” by Henry Goldkamp

going back to church
after the middle and index
little card fingers
hold the smoke : leather
turns into the hands shook
at bars for the hell of it
without names introduced
no words just grips hardly
shakes just shakes
for the hell of it :
and both felt the hell
of it because leather
from a man-god : Jesus is
your friend so spray Him
brown slap His ass toss this
guy a beer : he had a rough one
